Are you an experienced NPI Manager from a casting or foundry background looking to join a leading foundry in the West Midlands. Reporting directly into the Managing Director, you will manage the NPI function within the business. As NPI Manager you will be confident and proactive with the determination to achieve change and drive improvement. You will have experience in the application of quality tools essential to New Product Introduction. Offering a salary of c£50K working Monday to Friday

As NPI Manager your role will involve but not limited to;
Co-ordinate tooling design and casting methodology which will support clients with flexibility in terms of component configuration
Manage and monitor costings of both raw material and manufacturing costs to ensure profitability
Support new concepts and strategies for automation and digital work flow
Run and support projects where your focus will be on real-time visibility for process and KPI performance to help drive improvements
Manufacturing route planning
Create an enhanced NPI process which co-ordinates sample process from start to finish
Manage cross functional coordination across multiple departments within the business
Monitor and communicate project status, significant development clearly and concisely to stakeholders
Produce weekly / monthly status reports for management
Continually updating project schedules and integrated master plans using project management tools
Collaborate with all departments within the business to identify and mitigate any risks to the schedule or cost
Support DFMEA and PFMEA analysis
Minimise internal and external scrap
Review production documentation as work instructions
Pioneer design modifications to enhance the quality, reduce lead times, tooling and manufacturing costs
Develop and maintain 'right first time and every time' culture
Ensure the smooth transition of new product into volume or series production
Continuously review best practices and implement learning's accordingly
Promote lean manufacturing / continuous improvement tools where possible
Suitable Candidate
Experienced NPI Manager ideally with a materials, castings or foundry background
Preferred knowledge or experience of simulation software and measurement tools. Utilise casting simulation - using computer models to simulate flow, solidification and defects
Strong communicator
Knowledge of implementing quality tools within new product introduction
Proven experience of reducing scrap
