Job Description


ibis Styles Birmingham NEC and Airport hotel is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to help us cook tasty meals and maintain a clean and safe kitchen, supporting our Head Chef. This position, which is offered on a temporary basis to cover parental leave, is a full-time, 40 hours per week role which comes with a salary of up to £12.21 per hour plus benefits.


If you can rustle up tasty and consistent dishes, this could be the role for you. We're ideally looking for someone with some cooking experience who can be a great addition to our kitchen team. In addition to cooking, you'll be supporting the kitchen team, helping manage stocks and supplies, minimising costs and maximising profits and maintaining a safe, clean and hygienic kitchen.


The ideal candidate would be someone with  experience working in a pub or high street restaurant or a hotel, who can follow our company menu and maintain high standards, but we can train you up if you're reliable, keen and a hard worker.


Shifts would have an earliest start of 6am, and shifts could be midweek or weekend, breakfast and dinner. ibis Styles Birmingham NEC & Airport is well located for public transport (2 min walk from Birmingham International train station) and has parking on site.


Please note that applicants must be able to work in the United Kingdom and commute to our location.


Qualifications


- ideally 1 years experience cooking in a professional kitchen


- authorised to work in the UK and resident within commuting distance
