Electrician – £38,000 + Paid Travel Time + Overtime

Location: Ideally Based in Birmingham Area | Field-Based UK & Ireland | Full-Time | Permanent

We are working in partnership with a well-established engineering firm to recruit two experienced Electricians to join their growing team. The successful candidates will support the installation of control systems for water treatment products across various UK and Ireland sites.

This is a field-based role involving regular travel, with paid travel time from the moment the working day begins. The client is ideally looking for two electricians based near one another who can travel together in a company-provided van.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and connection of electrical control systems for water treatment products

• Timely and safe management of all electrical wiring tasks

• Compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures

• Confident use of electrical and hand tools

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and wiring schematics

• Delivery of work in line with ISO 9001 quality standards

• Courteous, professional conduct on client sites

• Participation in training and upskilling as required

• Support with general duties to ensure smooth on-site operations

Essential Criteria:

• 18th Edition Qualification

• ECS Card

• Control panel experience

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Ability to read and work from technical drawings

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Excellent organisational and time management skills

• Strong communication and team-working ability

• Ability to work under pressure, with strong attention to detail

• Willingness to travel across various UK and Ireland sites

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the water or wastewater industry

• Familiarity with 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks

Package Includes:

• £38,000 annual salary (based on a 40-hour week)

• Paid travel time for all site work

• Company van (shared between the two electricians)
