About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead and implement best practices in logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods and services both internally and externally. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, improving supply chain performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Operations

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage logistics operations, working closely with suppliers, transportation providers, and customers.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time, at the right quality, and in the most cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor quality, delivery times, transport costs, and overall logistics performance.
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and logistics service providers.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives by optimising logistics processes.
  • Resolve logistics challenges, including import/export issues and customer concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with export regulations, inventory control, and warehouse management best practices.

Inventory & Supply Chain Management

  • Oversee inventory accuracy, ensuring stock movements are well-managed and compliant.
  • Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies, optimising stock levels.
  • Monitor and manage slow-moving and obsolete stock to maintain efficiency.
  • Provide data analysis and reporting to aid decision-making and drive continuous improvements.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team.
  • Set team objectives, review KPIs, and drive continuous performance improvement.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage high-performing teams.
  • Experience negotiating contracts with logistics providers and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive efficiencies.
  • Knowledge of export compliance, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimise logistics processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence stakeholders.
