What You Will Do
Perform activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services, including medicine history, purchasing, inventory management, nuclear pharmacy, and Patient Assistance Programs (PAP) as a pharmacy technician.
- Refill and maintain automated dispensing systems.
- Prepare orders and maintain inventory for specialty pharmacy areas.
- Repackage bulk medications.
- Receive and store incoming supplies.
- Serve as a liaison between pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals by providing necessary information.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Pharmacy Technician credential from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire or transfer date.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience, OR an Associate's or Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.
Additional Preferences
Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA) required.
