YOUR ROLE
Our operation based in Solihull which provides logistics services to a large aerospace customer is looking for a meticulous and results-focused Operations Controller to support warehousing management activities across the site, assisting in material movements and contributing to overall contractual targets.
This role will see you working Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for keeping the workflow uninterrupted, contributing to faster market delivery. You will provide management control through effective planning, organisation, and communication to ensure all KPIs and service levels are achieved and exceeded.
You will be responsible for the supply of resources across the warehouse taking accountability for colleagues on shift whilst implementing and embedding a culture of employee engagement and driving operational and customer service excellence practices to keep your team motivated and focused to perform all activities relating to receipt, storage, launch, and dispatch of materials.
Quality and safety management is also a key aspect of this role, where you will ensure that all materials and processes are completed correctly, safely and comply with the appropriate company and client protocols.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing a diverse team and demonstrable experience in absence reporting, conducting appraisals, and overseeing training and development requirements. You will already be operating within a warehousing or production environment, able to demonstrate experience of building and developing exceptional client relationships, be a skilled decision-maker, influencer and problem solver who is able to interact and engage with colleagues at all levels.
It goes without saying that you will be IT proficient able to use various systems and MS packages with strong report writing and statistical investigative skills. You will have a flexible approach to working hours to support operations as and when needed.
