Field Service Engineer CNC Machinery - #1717721

Our client is a leading supplier of CNC machinery and due to their continued success Staffbase have been appointed to recruit for the position of Field Service Engineer.

The Field Service Engineer be responsible for installation, maintenance, service, and repair and installation of CNC machinery throughout the UK.

The Role

Reporting to the Service Manager you will be responsible for the installation, service maintenance and repair work on a range of machinery including CNC routers cutting and bending machinery.

Duties will include but is not limited to the following;

• Mechanical maintenance activities will involve the removal and replacement on broken and worn component parts such as chains, sprockets, linear bearings, and ball screws.
• Fault find and repair work on hydraulics and some pneumatics.
• Electrical maintenance work will include fault find and repair on 3 phase motors, servos, 24v circuits, (ability to read electrical schematics/drawings is essential).
• PLC work
• Assist with machine installation & commissioning
  
  

Candidate

We are seeking applicants who have good electrical and /or mechanical engineering skills. Ideally you will have at least three years previous maintenance experience preferably with excellent knowledge and understanding of CNC machinery.

You will be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with excellent 3-phase electrical fault find and repair skills. You will be competent with plc fault find and repair / interrogation.

This is a field engineer role and you will be prepared to stay away from home for up to 3-4 nights per week if required.

Hours Of Work

Monday to Friday (days) 40 hour week + OT

Rewards

Excellent basic salary £45K - £55K +OT
