About The Role

As a Family Practitioner – Early Years for Erdington and Perry Barr, you will play a vital role in supporting families and promoting positive outcomes for children in these communities. Your primary focus will be on children aged 0-5, while maintaining flexibility to support those aged 5-19 as part of a whole-family approach. By planning and delivering developmental play activities, parenting workshops, and tailored home visits, you will help families foster nurturing environments that support child development and early learning. Working closely with families and community partners, you will provide guidance on childcare, healthy lifestyles, early education, and SEND support, ensuring inclusion and addressing health inequalities. This role requires collaboration with multi-agency partners and active participation in the ongoing development of Family Hubs. If you are committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families, have a solid understanding of the EYFS framework, and are driven to empower others, this is an opportunity to create lasting impact in Erdington and Perry Barr.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with a strong background in supporting families and early childhood development. You will have experience working with children under five and their families, planning and delivering engaging play sessions, and providing tailored support in the community and family homes. A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework is essential, alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You’ll need to be confident in working with diverse needs, including children with SEND, and in collaborating with multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes. If you are adaptable, proactive, and committed to empowering families, while maintaining accurate records and delivering high-quality services, we’d love to hear from you. A flexible approach to working hours, a full UK driving licence, and access to a vehicle are required for this role. Join us and be part of a team making a real difference in the lives of families in Erdington and Perry Barr.
