School Caretaker - #1715256

We are looking to appoint an experienced Primary School Caretaker / Site Manager for an Outstanding Primary School in Aston. The role would be working a shift pattern of 06:30 until 09:00 and then 15:15 until 17:45 each day. You would initially be booking for a trial period of one term to ensure that both the school is the right fit for yourself, and for the school to ensure you are the right fit for them, you would then move onto a permanent contract employed directly by the school.

Previous experience working as a School Caretaker or Site Assistant is essential.

As a caretaker, you'll be a vital part of the school's day-to-day operations, ensuring the site remains secure, well-maintained, and supports a safe learning environment for staff and students.

Responsibilities include:

• General maintenance, minor repairs, and health & safety checks

• Site security including unlocking/locking the premises

• Supervising external contractors and liaising with school staff

• Ensuring cleanliness and readiness of school facilities

• Supporting with setup and breakdown of school events and exams

• Previous experience in a school facilities/maintenance role

• Knowledge of health and safety procedures

• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through us)
