Cover Supervisor – English Cover (KS4)

Location: Birmingham, B21

Start Date: September (new academic year)

Day Rate: £95 to £100 per day

A secondary school in the B21 area of Birmingham is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support English lessons across Year 10 and Year 11. The role involves supervising classes of up to 30 pupils, ensuring set work is delivered, and maintaining classroom standards in the absence of the usual teacher. The school holds a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating and has a consistent team of support staff. This position is required due to a staff member taking a career break. Onboarding is happening now to ensure you're ready for September.

Role Responsibilities

• Supervise and deliver pre-set English lessons to KS4 classes
• Support pupils in completing written and comprehension-based tasks
• Manage classroom behaviour and engagement
• Record attendance and report lesson feedback
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with secondary school pupils
• Ability to manage a classroom and follow lesson plans
• Confident, reliable, and adaptable
• Available for supply work from September
