A leading engineering company is looking for an experiencedElectrical Design Engineerwith expertise inEPLANto join their team inBirmingham. This role is primarily focused onautomotive Body In White projects (BIW), with additional involvement in thefood & beveragesector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for automation and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Design and develop electrical schematics usingEPLAN




• Create wiring diagrams, circuit layouts, and control panel designs




• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to integrate electrical designs into automated systems




• Ensure compliance with industry regulations forautomotiveandfood & beverageapplications




• Assist in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting




• Provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases




• Work closely with clients and internal teams to refine designs and improve system performance

• Proven experience as anElectrical Design Engineerin anautomotive BIW environment (essential)




• Experience in thefood & beverageindustry (desirable)




• Proficiency inEPLANfor electrical schematics and control panel design




• Knowledge ofPLC systems, automation, and industrial control systems




• Strong understanding ofelectrical safety standards and compliance




• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment




• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Competitive salary £50,000 - £60,000(DOE)
