Are you a rail Senior Buyer with experience working within the rail industry? Do you have experience working within large scale civil engineering organisations? Location: Birmingham Salary: up to £53,000 per annum DOE Hours: 40 per week - Monday - Friday Due to growth, my client is looking to add a Senior Buyer to be responsible for driving value from the supply chain through effective supply chain selection, segmentation, relationship management and development, and robust performance management. Benefits: ·26 days annual leave plus bank holidays ·Buy additional annual leave scheme ·Company Pension - employer 6% contribution ·Employee Assistance Programme ·Cycle to Work Scheme ·Digital GP ·Death In Service ·Flu vaccinations ·Health Cashplan - provides cover for employee and dependent children and offers 100% reimbursement for a wide range of benefits (up to an annual limit). ·Eye care Vouchers Your duties as a Senior Buyer will include: ·Ensuring an effective supply chain structure is in place with clear ownership of key subcontractor relationships, whilst ensuring a consistent approach across the Business Unit. ·Providing input into subcontractor selection and the development of project tender lists and then lead the supply chain involvement. ·Support and lead subcontract procurement and develop package procurement strategies. ·Prepare tender enquiries and send out for pricing. ·Lead the Procurement element for any Tenders, contributing to pre-start and coordination meetings. Requirements: ·Minimum 3 years experience working at a Senior level within construction or civil engineering, preferably rail ·Industry related ONC/HNC/HND/Degree ·MCIPS or equivalent (preferred) ·IT literate and proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office packages and Procurement software This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the Rail industries biggest multidisciplinary contractors who maintain a focus on progression for their staff.
