Birmingham City Football Club is seeking a talented and passionate Video Producer / Editor to join our in-house media team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in shaping the Club’s visual content across all platforms — from the pitch to behind the scenes.
Please note this role will be required to work matchdays across and follow the football schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Video Lead and wider creative team in filming and editing video content for BCFC’s official media and social channels, covering both football and lifestyle content.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to produce compelling promotional videos, adverts, and PR features.
- Create innovative weekly features, exclusive interviews, new signing reveals, and behind-the-scenes programming that resonate with fans.
- Contribute fresh, creative ideas that boost the impact and reach of the Club’s digital and social content.
- Bring strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro to enhance team editing capabilities; experience with motion graphics or post-production tools is a bonus.
- Attend club events and matchdays to assist in filming and content coverage.
- Maintain equipment and ensure the upkeep of all video production tools and software.
- Support the Club’s Blues+ platform through content upload, editing, and promotion.
- Take part in planning sessions for social and content strategy, bringing a creative perspective to the table.
- Archive content effectively across backend systems to ensure long-term accessibility and organisation.
Matchday Involvement (Training Provided):
- Assist in the matchday media production at St. Andrew’s, including pre- and post-match interviews with players and coaching staff.
- Ensure camera and commentary equipment is ready for use before matches.
- Edit and publish match highlights, goal packages, and extended content for Blues+ and social platforms.
- Support coverage of U18s, U23s, and BCWFC matches when required.
Who We're Looking For:
- Experience in video production, including content ideation, storyboarding, filming, and editing.
- A solid understanding of camera operations and creative storytelling techniques.
- Working knowledge of video, audio, and design workflows in a content production environment.
