An expanding clinical negligence team in Birmingham with an excellent client base and high-quality work is seeking to recruit an additional Clinical Negligence/Medical Malpractice Lawyer. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage a full caseload of pre-litigated and litigated matters for NHS Resolution and Insurers under supervision.

  • Develop relationships with NHS Resolution/Insurer clients and Trust/Insured clients.

  • Liaise with Primary Care practitioners of various specialties and backgrounds.

  • Support Partners, Senior Associates, and Associates with business development and projects.


Candidate Requirements:



  • 1 – 5 years PQE.

  • Previous experience in clinical negligence or defendant medical malpractice.

  • Ideally, experience with claims against Primary Care practitioners.

  • Strong communication skills with a professional approach to work.

  • Confidence in working directly with clients.

  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.

  • Aptitude for drafting and legal analysis.

  • Keenness to work collaboratively with colleagues at junior and senior levels.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Ability to provide supervision to more junior lawyers.

  • Practical and commercial approach.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and gain an in-depth understanding of relevant healthcare sectors.
