Location – We are seeking a candidate based in the Midlands who is willing to travel throughout the UK
About the Role
As a Project Engineer, you have the opportunity to deliver well-engineered project work in full compliance while ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing the development of concepts, design solutions, and all engineering activities and processes from design stage to commissioning and handover.
Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:
- Project management with a focus on delivering excellence and maintaining QHSE standards
- Resource allocation and management to ensure efficient project delivery
- Profit and gross margin management to drive success and sustainability
- Creating detailed site surveys and comprehensive documentation to ensure clarity and precision
- Accurate cost estimates and quotations aligned with client needs for transparent and successful projects
- Prioritizing health and safety with thorough method statements and risk assessments
- Procurement of top-quality equipment and materials to support project success
- Commitment to timely and budget-conscious project delivery, exceeding customer expectations
- Careful project scheduling and commissioning for seamless operations
- Meticulous contract management to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
About you
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Prior experience as a project or contracts engineer.
- Work experience in the EV industry, such as Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment, AC up to 44kW, and DC up to 350kW, is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the electrical contracting industry is essential, specifically in industrial and heavy commercial sectors.
- JIB/ECS Gold or Black card is essential.
- Capability of conducting surveys, pricing projects, and issuing quotes.
- Proficiency in managing projects from inception to completion, including managing all labor and material requirements.
- Ability to design and create project specifications.
- Capability of working flexibly and independently.
- Effective teamwork skills.
