QAC Enterprises (QACE), part of the Queen Alexandra Charity, Birmingham, is seeking an inspirational Managing Director to lead and expand our dynamic portfolio of businesses, including the renowned All Formats transcription servicecane sales for the visually impaired, and the celebrated Sight Village exhibitions


As Managing Director, you will: 


  • Shape and deliver the long-term strategy for QACE 
  • Drive business development, innovation, and income diversification 
  • Lead and inspire a committed team 
  • Represent QACE as a powerful advocate for our mission 
  • Oversee operations and ensure financial sustainability 
  • Engage with stakeholders across Birmingham, the West Midlands, and beyond 


You will report to the QACE Board of Trustees and work closely with the charity’s leadership to ensure that all profits enhance the experiences and opportunities for the students and clients we serve. 


The above list is not exhaustive, but is indicative of the general nature and level of responsibility of the work to be undertaken. The responsibilities and duties may vary from time to time without changing the nature of the post. The post holder will be expected to adopt a flexible approach to enable the efficient and effective running of the College. 


We’re looking for someone who: 

  • Holds a degree in a relevant field (Business, Management, or similar) 
  • Has proven senior leadership experience, ideally within business, charity, or social enterprise sectors 
  • Demonstrates strong commercial acumen and a track record of business growth 
  • Is an inspiring leader, strategic thinker, and compassionate advocate 
  • Embraces innovation and data-driven decision-making 
  • Has a deep commitment to inclusivity and empowering disabled individuals
