A vibrant secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated Science Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons to mixed-ability groups in Key Stage 3 and 4. The role begins in September, with onboarding taking place throughout May to ensure a smooth start. You’ll be joining a well-resourced science department with excellent behaviour management policies and 28 pupils per class. This role is available due to long-term sickness cover within the team.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Monitor and assess student progress to ensure academic development
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Contribute to curriculum planning and extra-curricular science activities
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching General Science at secondary level
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively and build rapport with students
• Strong classroom presence and effective communication skills
