Cover Supervisor – English Cover

Location: Birmingham (B32)

Start Date: September (New Academic Year)

Day Rate: £95 to £100 per day

A secondary school in Birmingham is looking for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to deliver pre-set English lessons across KS3 and KS4 to groups of around 25 students. This role has come up due to long-term medical leave within the English department. The school is Ofsted-rated 'Good' and offers a supportive SLT and strong departmental structure. Onboarding is taking place in May for a September start.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared English lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
• Support students in understanding lesson content and completing tasks
• Liaise with teaching staff and follow up on student progress
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils, ideally in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support students effectively
• Available for onboarding in May and ready to start in September
