Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a hands-on role, you will be overseeing and supervising an experienced team of Structures technicians, providing strong leadership and support to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance. By setting a positive example, you will foster a culture of safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Working closely with the B1 Engineer, you will help coordinate daily activities and contribute to the seamless execution of the production and modification programme. As the key focal point for all Structures and Mechanical aspects, you will monitor progress against allocated task card hours and programme schedules, and provide regular updates to your Line Manager, including any issues that may impact delivery.

- Removal of major structural sections/items, whilst stress jacked.
- Working to fine tolerances and high standards.
- Interpret technical manuals, production drawings, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver training for technicians, engineers, and operators.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on Structures modifications and upgrades.
- Work with stakeholders to align Structures solutions with operational needs.
- Track adherence to allocated task card hours for Structures maintenance and modifications.
- Identify discrepancies between planned and actual hours, analysing root causes.
- Escalate variations to stakeholders, including production managers, planners, and finance teams.
- Recommend process improvements to optimise efficiency and resource allocation.
- Support data-driven decision-making for labour forecasting and project timelines.
- Support Structures system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Provide mentorship to junior Structures personnel.
- Completed an engineering apprenticeship- ideally in Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years aircraft experience
- Excellent knowledge of reading manufacturers drawings and SRMs
- Previous aircraft production and/or modification experience
- Previous supervisory/lead experience
- Military aircraft experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of Aircraft systems
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Eligible to work and live in the UK
- Subject to UK security Vetting

- Initial SFAR phase 1&2; Continuation Training SFAR phase 1&2
- Initial EWIS group 1&2 Continuation Training EWIS group 1&2
