About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing and upcoming civil engineering and infrastructure projects in the West Midlands region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering a range of infrastructure works including highways, drainage, public realm, and utilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all commercial aspects of assigned civil engineering projects.

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost reports, valuations, and final accounts.

  • Ensure accurate and timely cost forecasting and reporting.

  • Assess subcontractor applications, valuations, and payments.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients on financial progress.

  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.

  • Monitor contract compliance and ensure best practices in procurement.

  • Support tender preparation and project planning when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (ideally NEC3/4).

  • Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial software (e.g. COINS, Causeway, or similar).

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to regional project sites.

Desirable:

  • Chartered or working toward RICS/CICES qualification.

  • Previous experience working with tier-2/tier-1 contractors.
