Science Teacher – KS3

Location: Birmingham, B38

Start Date: September (new academic year)

Day Rate: £150 to £200 (depending on experience)

A secondary school in the B38 area of Birmingham is looking for a Science Teacher to join them on a supply basis from September. You'll be teaching general science to two Year 9 mixed-ability classes, each with approximately 26 pupils. The school has a 'Good' Ofsted rating, with strong leadership and well-structured support for staff. This position is available due to a staff member taking a career break. The school is onboarding in May to ensure you're classroom-ready for the new academic year.

Role Responsibilities

• Teach general science to KS3 pupils
• Plan and deliver lessons in line with school schemes
• Monitor pupil engagement and manage behaviour effectively
• Work alongside the department to support academic progress
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• QTS with experience teaching science at secondary level
• Strong classroom presence and subject confidence
• Available from September and open to onboarding in May
• Able to support students of varying abilities
