Role Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to start a career in accountancy. The successful candidate will gain exposure to financial reporting, taxation, and business advisory services while working towards a professional qualification. This hands-on role will involve working closely with experienced accountants, learning key industry skills, and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of financial accounts and reports for clients
  • Supporting the preparation of tax returns and VAT submissions
  • Conducting bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Engaging with clients to collect necessary documentation and resolve queries
  • Contributing to audit and assurance projects under supervision
  • Keeping up to date with changes in financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Supporting senior accountants with financial analysis and data interpretation

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (or relevant experience)
  • A keen interest in accountancy and a willingness to learn
  • Strong numerical ability with excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn accounting software
  • Commitment to obtaining a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
