What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting in the identification, assessment, and monitoring of financial crime risk and reporting to management on the effectiveness of internal systems and controls.
  • Developing financial crime policies and procedures to educate and guide employees driving up standards across the business.
  • Designing, implementing, and delivering financial crime training programmes.
  • Co-ordinating initiatives and supporting projects.
  • Monitoring and analysing data and supporting the production of regular reports as well as completing financial crime returns.
  • Facilitating financial crime reviews and addressing any identified requirements post-review.
  • Undertaking client and third party enhanced due diligence.
  • Providing guidance on sanctions referrals and screening alerts.
  • Supporting the business in maintaining compliance with financial crime legislation and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in a financial crime, compliance, or similar role within financial services, including experience with implementing financial crime policies and monitoring their effectiveness.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the UK, EU, and US financial crime regulatory environment.
  • Familiarity with the general insurance industry, its products, services, and market practices.
  • Expertise in identifying, evaluating, and managing financial crime risks.
  • Ability to analyse complex information, form sound judgements and provide practical advice and solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder and people management skills and experience.
  • Clear, compelling, and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • A strong priority and delivery focus.
  • Proficiency in data analysis.
  • The ability to take initiative and solve problems as they arise.
  • Innovative thinking, energy, and drive.
  • A strong ethical foundation and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
