Location: Central Birmingham, UK

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 (DOE)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday

Are you an experience Freight Forwarder, looking for a new opportunity to grow and develop with an established and highly regarded Logistics Company? Then this role could be for you!

My client is looking for an experienced Freight Operations Coordinator to join their team based in Birmingham. The right candidate will have experience dealing with Air, Sea and Road Freight operations. Previous experience with pricing and negotiation with airlines, shipping lines and hauliers will also be desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day Freight operations, start-to-finish.


• Raising Job files and all of the appropriate operations paperwork.


• Extensive supplier and client liaison and negotiation.


• Managing the jobs from quotation stage to final invoicing in line with the client expectations and communicating effectively any service issues.


• Proactively contacting the existing clients to maximise business potential.

Requirements:

• Freight Forwarding experience is essential.


• Customs experience desirable.


• Excellent customer service experience.


• Ability to work with and support a team.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
