Infrastructure Engineer - Birmingham hybrid
Salary up to £40,000
Our client, a well-established consultancy specialising in technology and business solutions, is currently seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated IT professional to take on a senior role within a forward-thinking organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, managing, and optimizing infrastructure solutions, working on cutting-edge projects, and contributing to strategic IT initiatives.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure.
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect systems, data, and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IT infrastructure issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and security.
- Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Oversee networking components, including VLAN, VPN, firewalls, and switches.
- Manage Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal configuration and security.
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to continuous enhancement of IT systems.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Some experience in IT infrastructure roles.
- A good understanding of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
- In-depth understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server systems
