Transport and Warehouse Manager
Paying Up To £50,000 Per Year, Depending On Experience.
Monday to Friday, 7am 4pm.
Based in Central Birmingham.
We are working with a West Midlands-based UK Transport and Haulage organisation who are seeking an experienced Transport and Warehouse Manager.
The role of Transport and Warehouse Manager will oversee the management of daily Warehouse and Transport operations as well as overseeing a team of warehouse workers, transport planners and administrators, and a fleet of drivers, both permanent and agency.
The successful candidate will need to have a Management CPC (National is accepted as a minimum). You will also require comprehensive knowledge of Transport operations, ideally within cross dock or a pallet network environment. Experience in a Management capacity is essential to this role.

Duties Of The Transport And Warehouse Manager May Include
- Day-to-day management of drivers, the transport team, warehouse staff and the workshop/mechanics.
- Manage and implement processes to improve and drive productivity and efficiency of operations and staff via reporting, meeting deadlines and KPIs and striving for excellence.
- Coaching and training staff members, including drivers, to ensure a best-in-class customer experience is delivered.
- Overseeing all fleet and vehicle maintenance and management issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensuring compliance at all times to meet company and client expectations.
- Be the main point of contact via the traffic office team for all collections and deliveries.
- Planning effectively to maximise profit and minimise operational cost.
- Comprehensive knowledge of transport and warehouse operations, including all compliance elements.
- Management CPC (National as a minimum).
- Experience within the pallet network or cross docks operations.
- Experience in a management capacity within Transport.
- Experience in transport-related software.
