Primary Teacher – Year 5 (Permanent Role)

Salary: £34,000 per year (M5)

A one-form entry primary school in Hockley (B18) is seeking a Year 5 class teacher for a full-time, permanent role from September. The school, rated Requires Improvement by Ofsted, is entering a phase of stabilisation after a period of staffing changes. Leaders are focused on restoring consistency in Key Stage 2 and supporting staff with clear behaviour systems and protected PPA time. The successful candidate will be onboarded from May and supported by the outgoing class teacher.

You’ll take responsibility for a class of 29 pupils with a full-time classroom assistant. The cohort includes a small number of children requiring SEMH support, and the school has strong links with external agencies to support these needs.

Requirements

• QTS with recent experience in Key Stage 1 or 2
• Strong classroom management and assessment skills
• Confident in curriculum delivery and adapting for different learning needs
• Willing to work collaboratively and support wider school activities
