Graduate Town Planner - Strategic Land (1-2 Years' Experience)West Midlands / Hybrid Working

Are you a graduate town planner with a passion for strategic land and a solid foundation of experience under your belt? Ready to take the next step in your planning career with a leading land promotion specialist? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected and well-established team at the forefront of UK land development.

I'm working in partnership with a prominent land promoter based in the West Midlands that's looking to strengthen its in-house planning function. With a strong pipeline of large-scale residential and mixed-use sites across the country, they're now seeking a bright, ambitious Graduate Town Planner to support the planning and promotion of strategic land opportunities.

The Role:

You'll play a key role in supporting the planning team across all stages of the development lifecycle-from site appraisal and planning research, through to local plan representations and planning applications. This is a hands-on role, offering exposure to high-value projects and the chance to make a tangible impact early in your career.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Conducting site assessments, planning research and policy reviews

  • Supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals

  • Assisting with Local Plan consultations and strategic promotion work

  • Engaging with planning consultants, local authorities, and key stakeholders

  • Contributing to planning strategies for a growing national land portfolio

What We're Looking For:
  • A degree (and ideally a master's) in Town Planning or a related discipline

  • 1-2 years' experience in a planning role-either consultancy, local authority or client-side

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A keen interest in strategic land and residential development

  • A proactive, team-focused attitude with strong attention to detail

Why Apply?
  • Join a highly respected and stable land promoter with a national reputation

  • Enjoy hybrid working and a supportive, collaborative team environment

  • Be part of a business that invests in its people and promotes professional development

  • Work on a diverse range of exciting, long-term development opportunities

This role offers a fantastic platform for an ambitious planner looking to gain valuable experience and grow within a forward-thinking, commercially astute organisation.
