Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy in their hire of an ambitious and talented Graduate Town Planner!

With a strong regional presence and a diverse client base, the company offers planning, architecture, surveying, valuation, and business advisory services across the Midlands. Their office is based in Shropshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career planner to work in a supportive environment that's large enough to offer a wide range of projects, but small enough to provide personal development and genuine team connection!

Duties of the role:

  • Supporting and managing planning applications, appeals, and site promotions
  • Preparing reports, plans, and development research
  • Handling a personal caseload of small-scale projects
  • Assisting senior colleagues on larger or more complex developments
  • Liaising directly with clients from varied sectors - from homeowners to large-scale developers
  • Attending site visits and providing on-site planning advice

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related subject
  • Working towards RTPI membership
  • Strong communication skills and a confident, calm approach
  • Proactive, thorough, and keen to grow professionally
  • A problem-solver with excellent written English
  • Previous experience in a public or private planning role is advantageous, but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle ideal
