Our client is a well-established leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of ventilation and airside systems. With a strong industry reputation built over four decades, they specialise in delivering high-quality ductwork and airside packages for a range of prestigious projects nationwide. The successful candidate will be deployed to work on the new Birmingham Station for HS2 - a huge ductwork project.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of ductwork and airside installation projects from design through to commissioning. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive business where the successful candidate’s leadership will play a key role in project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple mechanical services projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard.

  • Coordinate the design, procurement, manufacture, and installation of ductwork and associated airside systems.

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure strong working relationships and project clarity.

  • Lead project meetings, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.

  • Track and report on project progress, manage budgets, and provide regular updates to senior management.

  • Support estimating and tendering activities when required.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing mechanical services or ductwork installation projects within the construction or building services sector.

  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation, and airside packages.

  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and perform under pressure.

  • Relevant industry qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services preferred).
