Skilled Careers is recruiting for a Site Engineer in Birmingham City Centre for a £70m project.

Role Overview:You’ll be an essential part of the construction process, ensuring the smooth execution of all engineering tasks on-site. This includes working closely with the site manager, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver a quality build on time and to spec.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure construction activities follow plans and specs.

• Monitor structural and architectural works with a focus on quality and safety.

• Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues.

• Maintain site records, progress reports, and quality documentation.

• Support in inspections and handovers at various construction stages.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, safety standards, and building regulations.

• Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience on multi-storey or high-rise residential projects.

• Solid understanding of structural works, concrete frameworks, MEP coordination, and finishes.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

• Strong communication and site coordination skills.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant project management software.
