As the Authorising Engineer , you’ll work alongside the Directors to oversee and evolve the company’s System Safety Rules (SSR), playing a pivotal role across all operational departments. You won’t just manage procedures – you’ll shape how electrical safety is lived and led throughout the business.

Your role will include:

• Auditing safety documents and switching schedules

• Reviewing, drafting, and owning safety and operational procedures

• Leading competency assessments and onboarding new team members

• Acting as a trusted point of contact for operational queries

• Supporting investigations and continuous improvement across operations

• Liaising with the HSEQ team and keeping your finger on the pulse of industry developments

• Up to £60,000 basic salary , depending on experience

• 25 days holiday + bank holidays

• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, ideally in Power Distribution

• Experience in Private Networks or Renewable Energy is a big plus

• Deep understanding of current Health & Safety legislation

• Clear communicator with strong planning and decision-making skills
