Senior Assistant Psychologist - male inpatients - #1661706

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Assistant Psychologist to work within a male inpatient rehab service based in Birmingham.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will work within an MDT, and provide psychological assessments, formulations and 1-2-1 therapeutic interventions (under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.)

You will also engage in research-related work, and conduct research projects. You'll also support the delivery and development of staff training initiatives. You will also contribute to service developments.

The successful candidate will plan and coordinate therapeutic groups and attend MDT meetings.

Contract type – fixed term contract, 2 years

Hours – full time

Salary - Starting from £23,675 FTE, salary offered will be dependent on experience

Experience required:

You must hold a Psychology degree with a minimum of 2:1 honours, recognised by BPS. You also need to have at least 12 months of experience working working with severe mental health and/or learning disabilities, as well as physical health issues or cognitive impairments.
