Team Leader - Lead Worker Plus
£28,673.87 per annum

About the role
Are you an experienced professional passionate about leading a team and making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals facing significant challenges? We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Team Leader to join our Health & Wellbeing Accommodation Service, which supports citizens across Birmingham in need of stability and independence
In this role, you'll oversee a team of dedicated support workers, guiding them to provide person-centred, strength-based support to adults facing multiple barriers. Your leadership will help ensure our service users receive the resources, support, and care they need to thrive in the community
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a service within a holistic and preventative framework, promoting community integration, early intervention, and collaborative working
About the Service
Our Health and Wellbeing Accommodation Service supports childless adults aged 25+ who are experiencing multiple challenges – singles, couples and those with pets. Support needs include 2 or more of the following:
Substance use
Mental health challenges
Repeat homelessness
Offending history
Exclusion or risk of exclusion from mainstream services
The service operates through referral channels, working closely with Birmingham City Council and community-based advisors to provide strength-based, preventative support

About You
Have experience in a leadership or supervisory role within health, social care, or a similar sector, with a strong understanding of the challenges are residents users face
Be a compassionate and approachable leader with a proven ability to motivate and inspire others
Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
Be highly skilled in multi-agency collaboration and person-centred support
Have a solid understanding of PIE (Psychologically Informed Environments) and trauma-informed approaches
Have knowledge and experience in managing safeguarding concerns effectively, ensuring policies and procedures are followed
Be adaptable, solution-focused, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
Demonstrate strong partnership working skills, collaborating effectively with external agencies, the housing management team, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated and seamless support
Have experience in rota management, ensuring efficient shift coverage and effective team support across all sites
Be willing and able to work flexibly across various sites in Birmingham, including occasional evening and weekend hours (07:00 – 21:00 Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:30 Saturday)
