Therefore, we require a hard-working, open-minded, passionate & humble individual within the role of U15-U16 Lead Coach. The purpose of the role will be to:



  • Lead the high-quality planning, delivery and review of our training & games programmes within the U15 & U16 age groups, in alignment with the coaching methodology & game model.

  • Lead the creation, delivery and review of outstanding Individual Development Plans for U15-U16 players within the Academy.

  • Support the recruitment staff in identifying, recruiting & retaining new players for our Academy programme.

  • Provide leadership and management to part-time staff within the U15-U16 age groups, working with the Head of Football Development to ensure alignment across the pathway.

  • Work within the inter-disciplinary team to maximise personal and player development of U15-U16 players.

  • Support the smooth transitions of new, existing and exiting players across our pathway, including YDP to PDP.


About The Candidate

Do you have what it takes?


You should be passionate about supporting the development of young players and people. You will need to be a hard-working, diligent and efficient individual with the capacity to work independently and within an inter-disciplinary team. You will be a thoughtful, skilled coach who can drive individualised development within the team framework and game model. You will be adept at planning, delivering and reviewing high-quality provision both on and off-pitch. Lastly, the individual should be curious and open-minded to being innovative in our approach to development to support our mission of becoming a world-leading football academy.


The successful candidate will need to hold the following qualifications:



  • UEFA B Licence

  • FA Advanced Youth Award (Desirable)

  • Valid Emergency First Aid in Football Certification (EFAiF)

  • Valid & up-to-date Safeguarding certificate
