We are seeking a dynamic Senior Solar Project Manager based in London, UK, with a proven track record in delivering utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects (50 MW+). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle from ready-to-build to commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with National Grid regulations. The role requires close collaboration with Grid, Contract Management, and Procurement experts to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management & Delivery – Lead the end-to-end project life cycle, from construction initiation to commissioning.


• National Grid Liaison – Manage Grid Connection Agreements (G99 process, TEC, BEGA/BELLA agreements) and collaborate with National Grid ESO and DNOs.


• EPC & Contractor Management – Oversee contractor selection, contract execution, and construction oversight for large-scale Solar PV and BESS projects.


• Regulatory & Compliance – Ensure projects comply with Ofgem regulations, National Grid requirements, and local planning laws.


• Financial & Budget Control – Manage multi-million-pound CAPEX budgets, tracking expenditures and reporting to the Project Finance Team.


• HSE & Risk Management – Implement robust health, safety, and environmental standards in line with CDM 2015 and ISO 14001.


• Stakeholder management: build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, regulatory authorities and local communities. Ensure transparent and timely communications with all project stakeholders.

• Strong background in utility-scale solar PV and BESS project management.


• Extensive experience in grid connection processes and regulatory compliance.


• Proven track record in EPC contract negotiations and contractor oversight.


• Strong financial acumen with experience in CAPEX budget management.


• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Successfully delivered large-scale solar farms with BESS while ensuring compliance with National Grid timelines.


• Secured grid capacity allocations through strategic engagement with DNOs and National Grid ESO.


• Optimized EPC contracts, achieving cost savings without compromising quality and efficiency.


• Implemented a digital project monitoring system to improve real-time tracking and project visibility.

Education & Certifications

• BSc/MSc in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or Project Management.


• PRINCE2 / PMP Certification (Preferred).


• IOSH / NEBOSH Certification (Health & Safety).


• National Grid Grid Code Training (Desirable).

• Grid Connection Studies & G99 Applications.


• SCADA, PVsyst, Helioscope.


• BESS System Design & Optimization.


• MS Project, Primavera P6.
