Firewall Review Service Lead - #1114397

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity in our Cybersecurity group for a Team Lead for our Firewall Review Service. You will build and lead a service responsible for reviewing and maintaining the enterprise’s firewall rules. The primary objective is to ensure the security, efficiency, and compliance of our network infrastructure. The Team Lead will collaborate closely with IT teams, security analysts, and stakeholders to achieve these goals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough reviews of existing firewall rules to identify inefficiencies, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps.




• Ensure that firewall rules align with security policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.




• Evaluate risks associated with firewall rules and propose risk mitigation strategies.




• Collaborate with the risk management team to prioritize and address high-risk areas.




• Create business cases for additional resources and grow the team as appropriate.




• Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.




• Continuously improve the firewall review process.




• Identify automation opportunities to streamline rule management.




• Implement best practices for efficient rule management.




• Participate in cross-functional projects related to network security.

Background:

• Minimum of 5 years in network security, including firewall administration.




• Good understanding of Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), ITIL, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt would be desired.




• Experience in CISSP or other relevant Security Certification a plus




• Experience in critical infrastructure manufacturing in an OT environment




• Familiarity with security industry standards (NIST, ISO, etc.) and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).




• Experience with CISCO, Palo Alto & Checkpoint Firewalls / Routers / Networking Devices




• Familiarity with Physical and Virtual Firewalls security operations in both on-premise as well as cloud infrastructure environments.




• Proven experience with using firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure both secure network segregation and necessary interoperability for Remote Office, Office, Factory Floor, and ICS/OT operations.
